7th Heaven to the CW

Just announced today...7th Heaven will return on the CW next season. Maybe they should have announced this before the much-hyped series finale. The CW doesn't seem to make many good decisions though.

??? Wha? Are you sure about that? I thought the show was wrapping up due to money issues?

Just Monday of this week they said good bye to 7th Heaven and now their going to bring the show back this fall. First time I ever seen this type of thing happen before.

What awkward timing! Barry Watson just started a show on ABC, too. I wouldn't see Jessica Biel back. Berverley Mitchell needs to do other work to shake her goody-goody image. Mackenzie Rosman is becoming quite the young star. Now if they only could get rid of the twins? :D

Marc Berman from Mediaweek was one of the TV critics that was trying to persuade The CW to bring back the show. I guess it worked. Plus, it was still the top rated show on either WB or UPN.Now, if The CW were smart, they would renew Everwood and place it back to where it belongs - right after 7th Heaven - on Monday nights. With that said and done, that probably means that there's even less of a chance that The CW will renew Veronica Mars.

One would think Veronica Mars' low ratings would mean it is not coming back, but it is baby of UPN/CW prez Dawn Ostroff. It has a pretty good chance of surviving just because of that. The 7th Heaven cast will not be changing, but will be cut back some. I guess the focus will shift back towards the family and not all the other people they deal with. By the way, "What About Brian" will not be back next year, so Barry Watson could return to 7th Heaven if he wanted.

This doesn't surprise me. They were cancelling the HIGHEST rated show on either network. I believe that they will focus on the Camden family still living at home (Ruthie and the Twins) as well as Lucy and Kevin.Plus, that was the WORST series finale episode ever. I couldn't believe that they didn't have a two hour finale for such a highly rated show.

Yes, the two-parter was spread over 2 weeks.Maybe we can see Ruthie graduate from high school this coming season. I can remember when her and Simon were really young when the show started and now Simon is married and so Ruthie is not that far behind. Also an explanation to why they said goodbye in the first place when they are moving to a new network.

It was a continuing story line, but WB didn't bill it as a two-part series finale. Only the final episode was billed as the "series finale". Interestingly, the title of the next-to-last episode was "Goodbye..." and the last episode was "And Thank You".
