8/19- AMAZING tropo this morning

Some of the best tropo I have seen in a long time seems to be taking place here in the middle of country this morning.

When I align my indoor FM antenna just right, KKRL out of Carroll, Iowa is coming in clear here at times in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A distance of 417 miles! Pretty amazing, especially considering their stick is only 256 feet tall.

Who else in mid-America is getting great tropo this morning?

Ive been picking up Saint Louis Stations here in Central Indiana off and on for a few days now, most frequesntly 100.3 The Sound, and also Y-107 106.9 from Columbia-Jeff City MO... But after the people accused me of lying I put little effort into posting DX logs now, Im about done with this board.. I could always be an Axx Clown and say Sorry, dont beleive you dude,,, but why on earth would anyone post a fake DX log, what does the fake poster get out of it,, it just discredits you when you get real DX... Also,, While picking up 100.3 The Sound from Saint Louis, another station popped in very briefly mentioning a Tennessee KIA Dealer,, this could only have been WNOX Knoxville,, a distance of 360 some odd road miles, but line of site would probably be more like 290 miles. from martinsville Indiana

I usually do not get the kind of tropo that's heard in the Midwest, but I just heard WQKX 94.1 Sunbury, PA 145 miles away, playing the hits of the 80s on a Friday night (I think its only when they do that). The tropo that I get is usually limited to the south and east of the Appalachians and I am east of those mountains. Sunbury, PA is within the mountain area.

Nice catch. Dont underestimate KKRL, I have received them twice via e-skip in Upstate NY.

In my location most of the tropo tends to be towards Canada due to geography. I have got up to 300 miles on my indoor antenna. The Great Lakes area to my northwest provides a much better area for tropo than does the Adirondacks, Catskills and Appalachians in the other directions.
