8 MINUTES (OR SO) OF THE CBS EVENING NEWS ON WBZ @ 6:30 PM?

When did WBZ start carrying approximately 8-10 minutes of the CBS TV Evening News at 6:30 pm?
Is this something fairly recent, or has it been going on for a while and I just became aware of it?
I haven't ever heard them promoting it in other day parts. ???

Meanwhile, WOR in New York just recently started carrying the first segment of "NBC Nightly News." You might be able to pull them in after sunset and be able to hear it.

When Katie Couric took over the evening news, they started airing it.

Wow! That was several years ago, unless you meant when Katie Couric left the newscast, which wouldn't have been very long ago at all. I can't believe I didn't know about it until recently.

Nope, I am quite sure it was either when Katie Couric took over or shortly therefore afterwards.
