800 - KQCV, local Bott Radio affiliate
810 - --
820 - WBAP, Ft. Worth
830 - WCCO, Minneapolis (not all the time)
840 - WHAS, Louisville
850 - KOA, very strong here
860 - KKOW, Pittsburg, KS (not all the time)
870 - WWL, New Orleans (also a strong signal)
880 - usually Spanish, don't know the station
890 - WLS, Chicago
900 - Spanish
910 - --
920 - gospel/religious - fades badly, haven't heard call letters yet.
930 - WKY, local

950 - --
960 - KGWA, Enid, OK

980 - KMBZ, Kansas City
990 - sometimes a mix of something in Dallas and CBW in Canada, but usually KTOK's IBOC hash

Off-topic, but I think my best catch is KNX 1070, Los Angeles on my Sanyo M-X720K.

Two nights ago, I was doing a quick scan of the AM dial and noticed the Chicago and New York stations were weaker than normal, except what I heard on 890.

I could assume it was WLS but it was just as strong, if not stronger, than I remember it back in the 80s!

What I was hearing sounded like some old radio theatre or something but I didn't have the time to listen long enough for a station ID.

Note: WDLM splatter on 950 and 970 does NOT mean IBOC Hash. None of the AM stations in the Quad Cities (to the best of my knowledge) use IBOC yet and only one FM station does (WLLR 103.7 FM). I will attempt to identify IBOC Hash on adjacent channels as "IBOC Hash" if and when I know of it to exist. "WDLM splatter" is simply traditional adjacent-channel interference the analog way; the way it's always been.

Also, on a side note, WKBF AM 1270 (Rock Island, IL) uses a different and more unpopular, yet possibly more favorable method of digital broadcasting. It's called "CAM-D" and it causes no interference in comparison with IBOC HD-AM. WKBF is one of only 4 stations in the entire USA to use this method, and it still sounds good in analog, and the only adjacent-channel interference experenced with this station appears to be the traditional analog type; no hashing like with IBOC HD. CAM-D must not take up very much bandwidth if this is the case; personally I would favor this method for digital AM over IBOC HD.
