In another thread, a poster said WCBS was a lot like JACK without the New Wave and more current music.
I have a question for all of you, seriously:
Can a station or syndicated program carry something of an 80s New Wave (1977-1989) featurign mostly the prime cuts do well in some US Markets like NYC?
I have my commercial/sales doubts on a station pulling this off, but a syndicated program (weekends) might be the way to go.
A station can play a good amount of 80s New Wave, but wouldn't that only survive somehow with some relevant 90s and current music along with non-club and non-Disney hits of the 80s?
Is this strictly too niche for any type of station or syndication success?
Just a question, and I appreciate all input. Thank You from Spooner St.
