80s Pirate in Franklin

Anybody else hear that... Its on 101.3,, which is right next door to 50kw 101.5 Wkkg just 20 miles away.

They all but wipe out WKKG for about a mile along High Way 31, but then WKKG quickly smashes them out going south... Someone has allot of go nads to set up a pirate right next door to a local 50kw signal..

It wasnt DX from the Richmond station either,,, this was an over modulated 80s jukebox.....

Its too far down the dial to jam KLU, but it could affect reception of WNOU just over on 100.9... This pirate isnt very powerful, you can here it from around Wal-Mart, till the stoplight down by walgreens,,, it may be able to be heard north past Wal mart as well, but thats were I discovered it, I was with my Mom, and she was trying to listen to WKKG, and then I heard Prince-When Doves Cry smashing into it, and I thought, what the heck could that be,,,, Someone thats not supposed to be there obviously... Even though the coverage area of this station is very small, it still has to be a powerful transmitter to be able to cut into WKKG that way.......... Wouldnt it make sense to use a Clean Frequency so your own signal goes farther, plus you wont disturb other peoples listening.... Not sure how clean frequencys there are that close to the city, but why not just set up an internet stream on Shoutcast.... Honestly,,, this overmodulated weak pirate signal isnt even listenable, just an annoyance for people trying to hear WNOU and WKKG

Probably someone with a Ramsey and a ground plane that's pissed off at 95.9.

My new favorite line from a post: "you can here it around Wal-Mart till the stoplight at Walgreens." Can you hear it in mom's basement?

"Broadcasting without permission or authority, from the highest power in the universe, and eminating from a clothes-hanger somewhere near the Franklin-SUPER-Wal-Mart, it's 80 seconds of 80's pirate radio! Dum-dum-dumdadi-dum-dum!...Radio in-dee-basement!...Dubba'-you-eye-bee-ill-legal...Partial-Franklin.... :p
