80's Wannabees

A few weeks back on the 80s Wannabee feature XM played Bob Seger. An 80's Wannabee? Then a week later they played The Who singing "You Better You Bet".

Do these folks just dump a music playlist into their computer and then just walk away?

The 80's on 8 isn't nearly as good as it used to be - prior to a certain very talented 80's programmer and air-talent leaving XM and that channel. Too bad - - -

Heidi was annoying. As for the "80's wannabe", they have been doing that kind of stuff since day 1, and I know because I have been a subscriber since December 2001.

For the most part the playlists are just a bunch of songs dumped in and left on auto-pilot. FOR THE MOST PART, not all but mostly, yes.

> I think what the other poster was implying was that Bob Seger and the Who are hardley 80s wannabees. Both artists and songs listed are not wannabees- so why are they featured as such? Nothing against a wannabees song feature, but some of their choices are way off base. Bring back Bruce!!!!!!

Bruce Kelly is sadly missed and the difference is obvious.

No I meant 100% of what I said. They have been doing that since day 1! Playing stuff from The Who, Bob Seger, etc. They have done that since day 1! I think the programming of the music is just fine.
