8100 XT2 w/ Spatial Enchancer on Ebay

I needed to move quick on it. I am okay with 1750, no sellers remorse here!

Awesome! The best deals are when there's a happy seller and a happy buyer.

That equipment was purchased by staskap who will put it back on ebay under the user name s-k broadcast and mark it up around $1000.

Make sure if you purchase an 8100 check for the serial port, and make sure it has a high serial number (look in the manual online for the correct #), or you will need to make modifications for the XT2 if used. Not all 8100's are created equal.

Some of the earlier cards cannot be used with an XT as they do not have the jumpers screened onto the board that are needed with the XT.

And now there's an 8100A listed at $895, very clean and tested. It even has the key!

That's an older one. A quick and easy way to tell are the knobs on the cards. If they have the shiny centers, they're older. If they're of the solid plastic variety, then it's a newer unit.

Check the back of this... no accessory port.

Some of the older style knobs have the jumpers for xt2 operation.
Also beside the xt2 port on the back, the only older card that needs replacement is possibly card 5, it is easy enough to simply modify older cards 6,8 and 9 that have no jumpers to comply, the 8100a manual states this.
Good excuse to recap at the same time !

Anyone have the nostalgia/analog-fidelity bug and want a Stereo Maxx? I've gotta dig my old one out sometime and see how it gets treated on the 'bay. ;)
