820 off the air

In other news, 820 WWBA is off the air today. At least for me. Did someone not pay the power bill? Aside from the local breaks, I can get everything from 1200 WINK lately anyhow.

WWBA is still off the air as of 9PM, just hearing the Cuban 820 from downtown St. Pete.

1200 WINK is a substitute that's better than the original along with the ARN news, they have the audio from WINK TV news and for at least St. Petersburg, a very listenable signal until sunset when they drop (as does WWBA) to 1,000 watts.

WINK-AM 1200 is a 50,000 watts AM station too. They upgrade earlier this year but their singal is not like WWBA's 50,000 watts type. Its can come up to the north florida big bend and Tallahassee depens on the weather. Can someone tells me if WAMA 1550 still does ESPN Deportes or did the flip back to music? I tired to listren to them online and Tune In Radio App as well but their streaming is down. I did send them an e-mail about thier streaming but still nothing.
 
Last night I drove past 820's transmitter site on my way into work. I could faintly hear 820's signal under some Cuban station. So they're on... but just barely.
