It's directed that way in the daytime now that it is 50 kW. It's minor lobe has a better signal toward Southeast Michigan than WTAM now. It's above 500 uV/m measured at my location.
Also 850AM in Johnstown, PA is currently off the air (part of a very large directional array
went bad and the owners don't have money to fix it). They were very directional N-S and
I'm guessing threw some wattage into Charlotte. Now that they're gone Cleveland should
be clear sailing.

When I've made the run between Detroit and Toronto on my business trips (as I still do occasionally), WKNR has always had a better signal than WTAM through a good portion of that part of southern Ontario north of Lake Erie. Which is basically the middle portion of the roughly 225-mile/3-and a half hour trip. The signal fades both around Detroit/Windsor and also near Toronto, where CJBC blows it out.
WKNR is always loud in the early morning in SW Michigan and then gradually fades out as the morning wears on. At night, 850 is owned by KOA and WGVS, Muskegon.
