850 AM Knoxville & Sean Hannity

Anyone notice 850am dropped Sean Hannity for some unknown local show which is pretty bad, looks like Hannity is going to WNOX, probably dropping Savage.

So is AM 850 still a 50,000 watt station during the daytime hours? Where is their studio these days? Are they still all talk? When I lived down there in Knoxville they were still owned by WIVK back then.

Still 50kw sunrise to sunset. A good engineering firm might be able to get them something at night but for some reason they haven't tried yet. Horne Radio owns them now with all their studios located on Cambell station Rd. The xmitter site is in Powell on Emory Rd.

Actually the studio is on Watt Road... unless they recently moved. WNOX would do well to dump Savage, I never liked his attitude.

For the record, Savage is one of the few talk show hosts that don't pander to a side.
And he actually has something intelligent to say, not the same old blah,blah,blah.
I'd take a guy with a masters over Sean and his ego any day. And so would many others in the market.

Face it folks, most talk show hosts in radio have an ego. Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz, Savage, Gallagher. I don't know any of them that have a low self-esteem! Well, they might, but they don't show it on the radio! It's one of the things that make them interesting to listen to!
