playing music...using some of the old classic jingles...how cool.......You've gotta love the return of Channel 85........WKIX was one of my top 5 stations of all time......
 
Wouldn't be something else if Curtis would "transfer" Charlie Brown from WPCM back to KIX? Just an idle thought
 
Wouldn't it be great to have WKIX on an HD-2 stream? Heck, I don't on an ibiquity radio, but I might just buy one to hear Channel 85 in Stereo!
 
Hey, this station takes us OLD DOGS back many years, so let's try to keep it on for a long time. Losing too many oldies stations to 80's and 90's formats which is sad to say getting older.
I remember the Big APE the Mighty 690 from the my beach bum days. And also Big Ways in Charlotte. Some radio never gets old, it just improves with time.
 
Way before my time. Would love to hear some old airchecks of it though. I know WRAL's Bill Leslie worked there in the 70s
 
At one time, WKIX was in stereo on 850.
Nice to see a slight bump in their ratings. Always a favorite station of mine.
