850 WKNR coming in great

Tonight I was doing my usual late-night AM listening here in Cincinnati and I hear this signal booming in on 850. At first I thought KOA was coming in really loud since that's usually the only station I'll get on that frequency. Then I pay attention to the host and he's talking about the Indians (the baseball team). I think that that can't be WKNR since the only time I hear that station is at that special time right before 8:30 when the signals are bouncing but the station hasn't switched to night pattern yet. But there was WKNR, coming in so loud and clear that it interfered with WHAS 840 and some Spanish station on 860. According to radio-locator, WKNR is only 4,700 watts directional at night. Either they forgot to power down, or something screwy was going on with the ionosphere. Just checking if anyone else noticed this too.

Writing from Columbus, I'd say this is a fluke. We get WKNR fine during the day, but I've never heard it at night. I think their main lobe points north, with incidentals in other directions. Its lobe coming at both of us doesn't make it far at all, only to Ashland judging from Radio-Locator.com.
