Anyone catch the article in the Projo about the Gem Heating spots? I won't link as you'd have to register on projo.com to read the article anyway but Gem is running spots voiced by Governor Carcieri. They were originally produced & aired by the Economic Development Corporation in 2004 to draw attention to resources available to small businesses & Gem was only one of the companies featured in the 2004 spots.

Gem is having second thoughts about airing the spots for fear of a political problem but the campaign is about to end anyway.

The 195 spots on both WPRO-AM & The Score cost $30,000.

Plus they have GEM HEATING ON TIME TRAFFIC on PRO-FM & LITE ROCK 105 as far as
I know, with the song in the background while the traffic person is giving traffic. More Advertisement there

Hence the package deal that keeps The Score afloat. The Score is like that cruise control feature that comes with the car even though you'll never use it or the programs installed on your PC you'll never touch.Looks good as a feature for potential buyers but in effect exists only to sweeten the pot.
