Has anybody else been hearing a Spanish station on 87.7 centered around downtown Orlando? No commercials, and much stronger than any FM transmitter for your car. Signal fades out heading west past the Citrus Bowl...

Also this morning (THU 11/9), another 87.7 Spanish station was BOOMING in to Central Florida... definitely a Miami commercial station, but didn't hear (or necessarily understand) any station ID's...

The Miami 87.7 is WEYS-LP, "Almavision," Spanish Christian.

This is their audio stream, for those who wish to compare---of course the web feed will be delayed from the 87.7 somewhat:

http://www.almavision.tv/radio.php .....this is only for Miami. For other cities, it could be different altogether.

I have heard it in the ucf area as well. About a month ago i heard foxx 35 being relayed on 87.7. Had no idea what that was about. that was in Altamonte.....

Maybe the local CATV puts them on 6 analogue and has some leaky cables.
This has been happening since the dawn of CATV.

There seems to be another unknown (maybe pirate) rap station on 94.1, too.
I seem to pick it up every once in a while in the Altamonte Springs area.

Also, there seems to be a steady faint Spanish station on 96.1 while driving between Altamonte Springs & Apopka.
I usually pick up Lite 96.1 from Jacksonville, so this is rather unusual.

That 94.1 is likely Wild 94.1 out of Lakeland, not a pirate.

Hello. That 96.1 station you are refering to is from Haines City and they are relaying 1150 am from tampa. It's called "La Bahia". Both have the call letters of wtmp. Used to be an urban AC station.

I know about Wild 94.1.
The 94.1 that I'm picking up is what's interferring with Wild 94.1.
It's only once in a while.
Kind of annoying when I want to hear the Old School Lunch instead of unknown rap songs.

Hmmm. I have only heard wild 94.1 on 94.1 heer in altamonte. I'll have to keep checking and see if I hear anything. I think a pirate would not want to go on 94.1 because 94.1 has a bit of a signal in this area.

I wasn't aware that WTMP, which is now Spanish (La Bahia) had a translator or repeater in Haines City, but I suppose you also could be hearing the primary signal of WTMP FM, licensed to Dade City, but with antenna on the Pasco/Hernando county line just west of I-75.
