I know 87.7 is probably audio to TV channel 6...but Thursday night while waiting
for a wrecker to arrive in Lebanon...I found a strong signal on 87.7...and it appeared to
be a Smyrna High School football broadcast...and judging by the descriptions on-air, it
was a radio broadcast. I also checked the signal while in Murfreesboro...still there.
Anyone know about this? Is there a LPTV on ch 6 in Middle TN...(can't find one)?
 
oops...did a quick search on www.rec-net.com and it appears to be
WKRP-LP TV 6 in Gordonsville. didn't know they existed...and if the coverage maps
is close to accurate...it's quite a signal for a LPTV

don't you hate people who anwers their own posts?
 
I live in Lebanon (right by the Watertown exit on I-40) and I've picked that up on a little b&w tv I have in the kitchen. I only hear the audio - no picture. One night, they seemed to have an old movie on there. I thought I was crazy but the audio came through on my scanner too. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not.

A wrecker, huh? One of our fine Wilson County drivers didn't run into you at the Wal-mart, did they? ;D
 
that's right where I was...off exit 239...
I was waiting for the wrecker to bring my daughter's car (alternator died on 40 near Gordonsville).

Don't you just hate it that you couldn't change that alternator. When I had my old 1980 Chev. Pick Up, heck, I keep spare parts in the back and I could fix it myself. Now General Motors, Ford, etc build them where you have to take it to the dealer to get it fix. I can't even work on my "05" Monte Carlo. Chris, it's corporate greed!

GM makes it where you can barely change the battery. I asked them at the dealership about a Buick I had a problem in why there was a bar over the battery - they said safety. I call it job security!

buddy you were in texas at the time, but buntin hired a salesman at WHIN named Curt...that really wore plaid , and lots of it, white belts, matching shoes..ties that screamed at you, he dyed his hair jet black that contrasted perfectly with his gold tooth..and i'll bet when he got dressed in the morning, he looked in the mirror and said.."I look good" jack williams had several liesure suits in rust, lime green, orange...and this was BEFORE WKRP...looking back we were WKRP..Mr Carlson(buntin).Andy Travis (hunter), les nesman(jim sparks), Johnny Fever(finley) jennifer(joan brooks) since you know all above..you can appreciate the erie similarites..as for me..what was I doing there in the first place ?? just wandered in off the street.."hey can i play records?"
