They gave the option of replacing the song with something else, but it would ruin the pace of the video..
In the last week, though I had two of my videos (Morning Exchange 12-17-97) flagged for violations from "Scripps Local News" First major violations ever, and I've been on YouTube 5 years..
I just took them off YouTube and put them somewhere else (DailyMotion)..Daily Motion is not as large or popular as YouTube but I've been told they don't the copyright issues that YouTube has..
I'm gonna check Daily Motion out, thanks. If the powers that be re Youtube gave me a chance for a rebuttal I would add that the integrity if the clip would be severely compromised by editing out the MSB tune, the station ID is on the fade in to the MSB tune, and there may be some kind of "play" between the tunes and the quality of the picture. Something is interfering with the slides, seems the brighter ones, and it's more or less consistent throughout. I would think someone could study the interactions on the video and that's where I believe the fair use and education aspects would come into play, the full unedited clip needs to be there.
