87.7's New Morning and Afternoon Hosts

Lyd The Kidd has moved from afternoons to mornings and Dan Stansbury is taking over PMD.

That's actually a nice upgrade from Archie, who I never felt was right for the station. I still wish him well, but I believe Stansbury will make a good rival to Alan Cox.

I don't know about Stansbury and 87.7 every being able to compete with a station like WMMS....but I did hear some of Stansbury on Friday and thought he sounded good.

I was very surprised they went with Stansbury over Zumock for afternoon drive. Zumock going head-to-head with his old show would have made much more sense than Stansbury who has been out of radio for two years. If they put Stansbury and Zumock together, that would be something Clear Channel would have be worried about, If you recall Rover made a lot of noise when he was on a weaker signal over at CBS

You never know. The station has changed their line-up so often, it's getting harder to keep up with who's there and who's not.

Zumock could still have a chance to get a bigger slot at the station. They've been jockless after 7pm on weeknights since "The Messenger" was dropped. Maybe having an evening show with the comic could work. Maybe he might end up on mornings if Lydia doesn't work out, but they don't want to drop her. I could see her hosting 7 to Midnight with Zumock on from 5:30 to 10 in the morning.

Zumock and Stansbury could work as well. That would pick up listeners who might get tired of Alan, Bill and Erika.
