87.9 FM NE Tarrant County

There is a station blanketing North East Tarrant county with Spanish Inspirational Music on 87.9MHz. I listened to it this morning from US377 in Watauga to 114 & MacArthur in Irving (22 mile commute). They were strongest in Watauga. Any info on this one?

The list below contains the only licensed 87.9s in the US, so maybe the folks in Brazos have it cranked up beyond their allotted power/height, or you’re hearing a “pirate” with a big ship.

FSC's experiment has been over for awhile iirc....And they would not be playing music nor covering the area described..it is highly likely a pirate....the Dallas FCC office probably needs to be notified (UNLESS it was someone with a FM modulator driving right next to Mac, which I doubt ;)

Hello Vide0chick.... Get the scopes out. Your pirate hunting services are needed! ;D

They are now off. I had heard them Saturday afternoon, Monday morning and afternoon and Tuesday morning. By noon Tuesday they were off. They appeared to be located in NE Tarrant county due to the consistent signal strength with a power of perhaps 100-500 watts based on their range.
They gave out phone numbers Monday afternoon but I couldn't translate while in the car...
Will keep checking the frequency.

This station appears to be transmitting from the south side of Fort Worth based on the strong signal south of downtown FW and the address thay gave out (in Spanish). Their coverage to the west extends at least to 820 all the way to NE Tarrant county. That would be at least a 10 mile range out towards Lake Worth and a 25 mile range to Las Colinas as previously received.
