87.9 Hartford?

Last weekend, I was running sound & video in the Main Events room for ConnnectiCon at the Connecticut Convention Center and I noticed the in the general area was a signal that seemed to be animal planet or some similar animal related channel (though sometimes just dead air). The feed seems to from Comcast as there were localized advertisements in place. Anyone know what this is about?

Probably somebody's remote FM receiver that was somehow connected to a television?

Leakage from the cable system... plain and simple. You were hearing the aural carrier of channel 6

I was thinking that as well, but the coverage area is too vast and consistent, and it's very solid on 87.9, there is nothing, not even splatter on 87.7. There was also a point where there was dead air for a long time, which even thoug a possibility on cable, is somewhat unlikely.

Also thought about something like that, except there's not too much for residential areas around the convention center, unless it's coming from a local business.
