Where were you?
A couple of weeks ago I was at The Mall, at the south end, Rt.128 underpass, and there was a weakish, instrumental/e-z listening signal on 87.9, but it was gone by the time I turned right and got to Lowell St.
Signal/strength-wise, it sounded like an old fashioned bedroom pirate, meant just for the neighborhood/city block——maybe it is in that apartment village across from the underpass?
no trace of it or Brockton's 87.9 in Boston (without breaking out Yagi and climbing up the Pru). which is nice, as finally theres an open space on the dial for Part15 use
Datz Hits founders have been denied a reduction in their fine
FCC FM Channel 200 (87.9) is the most inefficient use of spectrum that the FCC oversees. There are two stations on it in the entire country and MOST of the Channel 6 TV stations have vacated that slice of spectrum during the digital transition. It would take the FCC to change their rule not Congress.
You want LPFM's? If a station fits on 87.9 USE IT!
