87.9 The Wave Website

The Last Few Days DXing Was Real Good I Listened To Cat Country And WCOD For The Past Few Days At Near Local Strength. It Was Awesome.

Now that you mention it...during my same time trying to get 87.9 in the Library parking lot (I had a few minutes while the missus was picking up some reading material), I was punching around and found a couple of Southern New England stations coming in really well between 6 & 7 pm up here in Haverhill. Those included 94 WHJY out of Providence, 97.3 out of New Bedford, and a couple of Cape stations - frequencies escape me but I think WCOD was one of them.

As for listening to the online version of The Wave, I figured I could. But, call me old fashioned, every once in a while, I like to tune in on the old box called a radio, just for old times sake. :)

It seems every time I go to North Andover, I get some good tropo and have some weird finds on the dial.

Interesting trivia for you. At one time there were 3 oldies stations called The Wave. There was one 96.7 on the seacost. It's still called The Wave but sadly it has gone to an all talk format. Then there is WHAV The Wave "Part 15 Station". And Finally There Is 87.9 The Wave.

I agree with you Marc, I do most of my radio listening with A regular radio also. In fact I never leave my house with out my portable Insignia HD and my Sony Walkman. If i'm going away I always take my Grundig.

The Owner Of 87.9 FM wanted me to post this for him since he doesn't have a radio-info account "happy holidays from 87.9 FM and i hope everyone has a safe holiday season." I'd also like to wish everyone a nice and safe holiday season and a happy new year.

LOL who's the goon in the batman mask?

anyway, when i can get it or am traveling north of boston, i always give this station a listen. good times
