88.5 WFCR Program Schedule Changes

1. When did WFCR 88.5 drop the 6PM Sunday rebroadcast of Car Talk? It was still on in December.

2. When did WFCR start airing The Beethoven Satellite Network overnights?

I liked the 6PM Sunday rebroadcast of Car Talk. Sometimes I'm not around on Saturday or Sunday mornings to listen "live". Now I'm going to have to make use of the Car Talk on-demand stream at CARTALK.COM

Car Talk on WFCR:

Saturdays at 11AM on 88.5 FM.
Sundays at 11AM on 640 AM.

Beethoven Satellite Network? Is that the one AM 1290 (whatever its call letters are these days) uses? I listened to WFCR overnight about a month ago and they were still using the Minnesota Public Radio feed. Going to Beethoven Radio would be a disappointment -- too much movie music, "lite" classical, etc.

That's the whole point of AM 1290/Beethoven.Com, Playing liter Classical Music, trying to get younger people interested in the music.

They ought to try getting them interested in AM radio first.
