88.7 K204DX off-air

It's down, went out earlier during the storm and probably was struck.

And consequently K292FF, which normally receives K204DX from the airwaves and rebroadcasts it, is off air too. https://fccdata.org/?facid=&call=k2...=&party=&party_type=LICEN&latd=&lond=&lang=en

There also is a 3rd station, owned by a different religious operator from Kerrville on 88.7 I can get, and sometimes if you listen to 106.3 you can hear it toggling on/off with the 88.7 Kerrville station, it's funny because K292FF thinks it's getting it's sister translator but it's making a mistake.

You know I don't think CSN has any engineers in the area, sorry for being mean. It's not good to be mean but the more I hear 106.3 K292FF toggle on and off the more worried I am about CSN's equipment, they seem like poor people because they could barely get any technical help with the San Antonio stations last I heard and it still seems that way.

Who cares? All I ever see you do on here is nitpick at what stations do, point out their failures and often (although, not in this post) make some wildly incorrect accusations and share in correct facts. Never once have I seen you make a post about a stations problems with any kind of idea or suggestion for a plausible solution. You flood this board with your nonsense and you end up talking to yourself.. no one responds to the majority of your nonsense.

You also clearly know nothing about radio/broadcasting either and how things work with regards to programming or technical operations.

How about.......when a station has a problem, you contact them and let them know instead of posting on here? If you actually believe posting on here is a way to notify them, you're sorely mistaken. If you'd taken 20-30 seconds to look on the internet, you'd notice CSN has a phone number and contact form specifically to report station outages.

For what it's worth, if 106.3 is fed over the air from 88.7 or any other source, it is set to shut itself off when it loses its audio source so it doesn't broadcast nothing.

For once, I'd love to see you say something positive... about any broadcaster, but that'll never happen

They likely have someone on their payroll in that area that can do basic stuff, like flip the transmitter back on when it doesn't come back on (like power failures). Bigger things, especially if it involves high voltage, require an engineer, which could be busy fixing a lot of other things that aren't working.

That's if they know about it.

CSN is working on replacing their antenna for 88.7 that's what I heard. They didn't give me a timeframe though on when it will return.

K204DX appears to be on actually at low power, I can't hear it where I'm at now but can listen closer to it's antenna.

Meanwhile K292FF is still off as 88.7 is too low of a signal right now to reach 106.3's antenna to be relayed.

They came back at normal power levels since the last post. 106.3 is on again.
