89.9 KXPE-LP in Austin

If you pull up the application it is 20180511AAA. This means it was submitted (online) on 11 May. It usually doesn't post to the FCC Daily Digest for about 3 days. It got there in time...likely with a few hours to spare since it rolls over to the next day at 3:01 am.
 
I heard KXPE on the air recently. It was playing very old big band music that sounded like it was from the 1940's, with a liner announcing the call letters running over the music.
 
I Discovered This Station On May 25 2018 Its Cool I Like Them They Broadcast Near Where I Use To Live Between 1003-2003
 
Its Supposed To Say 1993-2003 LOL Regardless I Recommend Supporting 89.9 Very Unique Station
 
Have they added more stuff to their playlist other than old wartime music that sounds like it's in the public domain?
 
Doesn't sound like they are in good shape. Likely no money for the ASCAP, BMI and SESAC licensing fees. What many LPFM stations fail to realize is a very eclectic format reaches very few people and a LPFM already has a coverage area that has very few people compared to full power. If your format is liked by 1 in 200 radio listeners, and you reach only 20,000 people in your 60 dbu, you have a handful of people,of which about 7% might donate upwards to $10 a month to support. You must run the numbers.
