9 Fox O&Os to be sold

Hi everyone:

Not to throw a glitch into this thread, but I find it interesting how a topic labed "9 Fox O&Os to be sold" has only sparse discussion about who is going to buy them?

So lets talk about it, just for fun....
Well for starters, the sale of KDVR 31 could depend on who lands the Lincoln Financial radio cluster (There's a discussion on the Denver-Boulder board). If Cox lands the cluster, they will undoubtedly want to bolster that with the purchase of KDVR 31. Basically put, they'd build another San Francisco (Does Cox even own radio stations in the Bay Area?).

Just my opinion :D

Cheers :D

Birmingham

Could the sale of WBRC in Birmingham result in another affiliation fruit basket turnover like it did in '96? From a news standpoint, the current pecking order, ratings-wise, is (1) WBRC-6 (2) WBMA/WCFT/WJSU-33/40 (3) WVTM-13 (4) WIAT-42 (though 42 finished ahead of 13 in the Fall '06 ratings). Wouldn't it stand to reason that CBS would do just about anything to affiliate with Channel 6 instead of Channel 42? If 6 were to go to CBS (and this is a far-fetched fantasy, I'll admit), could Fox then latch onto 13, leaving 42 with NBC?
