9 kHz AM Frequency of the Week - 603 kHz

In Houston 603kHz is interference from KILT at 610. From Bellville, I can catch a fair signal from KTBB Tyler at 600 if I aim that way, so I'd suspect that would be at 603 as well.

Nothing noted from Asia or Oceania yet on 603. Have heard a very weak carrier at times, might be South Korea, but only on good mornings to the west.

From Perth Australia - dominant station is 6PH, ABC Local Radio in Port Hedland, up the coast about 800 miles, with 2 kw. I've not heard the other 2 Aussies on the frequency, both on the east coast. Sometimes in the late evenings, the China Radio Intl. station on Hainan Island (600 kw at 3,500 miles north) is audible underneath, and has been known to overpower ABC on occasion.
