A few nights ago, I was scanning the AM band in the car. On 770 AM, primarily occupied by KKOB/Albuquerque (News/Talk), I also heard one of the 90's Max-a-Million dance hits in the background (I think it was "Fat Boy"). I was able to hear the signal just long enough to catch the next song. I didn't recognize it, but it was definitely a dance selection and it sounded very 90's-ish.
Living in Phoenix -- where receiving AM stations from South of the border certainly seems possible -- I wonder if this could have been a station of Mexican origin. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/770_AM, these are the three stations broadcasting on that frequency in Mexico:
* XEANT-AM in Tancanhuitz de Santos, San Luis Potosí
* XEHUA in Santa Cruz Huatulco, OA
* XEMRO in Matias Romero, OA
Any ideas?
