91.7 is playing...

Dead air, unless I'm just way out of the coverage area in Garland/Mesquite. They'd better watch out for some opportunist religious startup who'll mistakenly grab the assumed-dead frequency as their new "low power" home.

I'm up for that.....let's go Mike!!

But who's going to handle job hunting for me while I go play radio again? (for free, again, I'm sure!) And the house repairs, and the homeowners association duties, and the car and truck repairs, and the sickly mother and her doctor appointments, and the six months' worth of email I haven't even opened or answered, and the website updates (across four sites now,) and the radio show, and the property management gig I'm doing on the side, and the Lunch Bunch, and prepping for a garage sale, and the (literally) 122 things on this week's to-do list. (But at least 46 of them are done now.)

Calgon...take me away.

Today they are on there new frequency, clear, crisp and clean.
Maybe they new frequency will work. I am sure praying that in the future they will end up back on the FM, but there internet radio signal is good too.

The 1110 facility (now leased by KVTT) should be even better in several weeks. The owner has a construction permit to increase the power from the current 20,000 watts to 50,000 watts. An additional tower is required at the site near Decatur for the new power.

Tuned to 91.7 in my car. Picking up a static filled talk program, Doubt that it is the Houston station as I recall from my time there they played classical. Not sure where it is from. Very weak and could only make out every other word and heard no ID on the half hour.

At least with 91.7 free for one month it is the rare freq. avaliable for DXing.

91.7 in Houston is KTRU, Rice University's radio station. They're an alternative/indie rock format.
