Just a couple months after being acquired by Radio Cantico Nuevo, and weeks after extending the STA, WRKL New City, NY is off the air once again, as of Friday November 10. Drove by there, and the front gate, which had been chained and locked, was open. Likewise, the gate leading into the great Mt. Ivy Swamp. The southern-most tower, twin to the one that blew over almost six years ago, now has a noticeable bow in it. Towers also continue to be unlit after dark, but no NOTAMs on file with the FAA currently.

910 AM WRKL Off the Air Again

Maybe they read this board, because WRKL is back on the air as of Sunday afternoon. Now they need to report the unlit towers, and get the leaning tower properly tensioned.
Not to sound like a broken record, but WRKL has been off the air for the last 10 days. It’s time to file for a silent STA, or get the station back on the air.
On the other hand, the last time I posted that they were off, they came back on the next day. So perhaps this message will summon them back from the grave.
