91FM KOKF Sold!!!!

Last I heard the works was in that KOKF was being sold to EMF Broadcasting (The Parent company of KLOVE RADIO & AIR 1). Latest news is KOKF was sold to EMF Broadcasting for $6.1 Million. I was told the transition to Air 1 Will take place sometime in May.

Hopefully with that $6.1 Millions they will open a new radio station like KOKF Again (but who knows). I really am going to miss listening to Brandon and the gang, and wish them the very best luck in there futures.

EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is buying another station in the OKLAHOMA CITY market, buying noncommercial Contemporary Christian KOKF/EDMOND from RON DRYDEN's RDM BROADCASTING ENTERPRISES, INC. for $4 million. EMF owns K-LOVE affiliate KYLV in the market. JOHN PIERCE of JOHN PIERCE AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the deal.

Let the flaming begin! ;) I wonder how much 'ol Ron made PERSONALLY on this deal between RDM BRODCASTING ENTERPRISES, INC. and EMF? What do you want to bet the staff over there won't even get a steak dinner for their efforts? They did it for God, but Ron's company seems to have got the check. Hmm.. How Irronic! So now we'll have another EMF channel. Wow! Just what we needed! I'm sure the younger Christian rock fans will be delighted!

Wasn't it somehow related to Phil's appearance on Miami Vice? Did that video lead to the (rather similar) role?

I would say not. The song and video came out in '92.

...and that episode, which just so happens to be on TV Land this Saturday, was done in '85.

Oh, well. There was something about that episode...just can't remember what it was.
