92.1 NEW LPFM - Atmore

What's the story behind the Bingo Hall (Poarch Creek Indians) canceling the CP for their new LPFM on 92.1 in Atmore?

No idea. If there's a place where people list why they want an permit canceled on the FCC's site, I've never found it. I didn't even know about it until someone mentioned it to me in passing… it never showed up in the daily digest, or I looked past it somehow.

A permit in Athens was canceled as well.

Maybe the Poarch Indians figured they could make do with just one LPFM station instead of two.

You can't have too many radio stations pumping out travelers information at Wind Creek Casino!
The Indians have plenty of cash to build it.
Someone must have made it worth their while to drop 92.1.

Seems like the Poarch Creek Indians have been getting out of the radio business over and over since 1980ish.

Wow. I can't see how two 100 watt FMs wouldn't be a valuable asset to the tribe, Atmore seems like the kind of town LPFMs were designed to serve.
They can still apply for reinstatement for how long?

I really just want the Poarch Creeks to open a casino or pot shop in Pensacola. (I own an acre adjacent to the rumored site!)
