92.3 FM WMXD weak signal in Ann Arbor?

When I was leaving school in Ann Arbor I tuned my car AM/FM radio to 92.3 FM and the signal came in very scratchy on the east side of Ann Arbor. How come 92.3 FM WMXD don't come in strong or very good in Ann Arbor, Michigan?

Re: 92.3 FM WMXD weak signal in Ann Arbor?

WMXD often causes interference with a semi-local station here in Vermilion, OH - namely WKRK 'Radio 92.3' a classic alternative station in Cleveland that is about to flip to all sports on Aug. 29. Do you ever get interference from WKRK when trying to listen to WMXD? That may explain the scratchy signal you were getting.

No I have never been able to pick up 92.3 WKRK FM here in metro Detroit area from Cleveland, Ohio.

With WVKS 92.5 in nearby Toledo, you might be getting some HD splash from their signal when you're in Ann Arbor if there's tropo-enhancement from the south.

How come MIX 92.3 - WMXD FM never moved their transmitter to Southfield, or Oak Park or Royal Oak Township?

Human Numan I was was in Monroe Mix 92.3 was also coming in scratchy. Plus you maybe getting interference Wqkl Ann Ardor's 107.1's transmitter in the center of Ann Arbor. Now when im coming from Detroit going toward's Toledo 92.3 past Monroe start's to get scratchy and is not even listenable past exit 6 in michigan because of wvks Toledo.
