I think by going live means they finall get jocks on the air that are in new orleans and not in Florida like 104.1 was.
Citadel needs to study other rock stations and loose the alternative or cut down on it , and realize there is way more than just 5 main artists in the genre... I've been listening to WMMR in Philly last couple of days and they rock it better than rock 92.3 does... and that's playing classic rock cuts too.
I don't expect any saints radio ( a rumor persists that Benson is in he market for a radio station or group and that he is to pick up the Citadel cluster and want to flip 92.3 or 106.1 to sports see
http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=174638.0 for more)... at least not on 92.3 as you'd get good numbers in New Orleans but not as much in Baton Rouge.. Besides you all jammed up WWL when they played Saints this and saints that.. Hell ESPN even slammed them..
But I'd expect Entercon to have a lawsuit in hand if Benson tried anything this year about taking the saints away unless it was in the contract, and since they also control the technical aspects in a way of the saints radio network, that would involve even more lawsuits. 2011 season could be a different story.... But I've seen major sports teams only control the radio outlet, never saw it hold the radio and tv stations yet (please cite me one if you know) as I'm curious if it would come after that under an anti trust statue? as he would be the only person with both aural and visual rights in the city.
Maybe like his fox outlet (saints but mainly fox programming), making it a saints and rock station but I don't expect to see sports only on 92.3 killing off the frequency
