92.3 Milan/Jackson - Back to classic rock

As of last Friday 92.3 in Milan/Jackson has gone back to classic rock, which they were doing until about 4 years ago when they became U92 with classic hits. Along with that they have changed the call letters to WHHG and their name to The Hog.

To me when they changed to classic hits it seemed more like a format that still leaned toward rock with some AC hits thrown in, and the heavier rock toned down. Now it appears that they have reversed their changes.

Jackson had 3 oldies/classic hits stations anyway, and so this move probably won't affect how much I listen to them, which was occasionally anyway.

I noticed this change last Monday 12/4/17. At that time, their RDS was still displaying "U92... Classic Hits for You" until sometime the following day. This weekend, I heard their contest disclaimer spot air that still had "U92" in it. Their new website still has "U92" on it a time or two.

The WYNU calls have been around for this station for over thirty years.

I'll admit I may have not tuned in over the week before I noticed it except for possibly a time when they were playing a song that would have fit either format. When I drive I usually tend to stay on one station for a while, but when my wife is with me she wants to surf the dial any time there gets to be talk or ads on. I just noticed the change Friday.
