92.3 Now and Z100 billboards

nd2023

Banned
From my travels around the NYC area, I have noticed that the only radio station billboards I see are advertising Z100 or 92.3 Now FM. Not surprisingly, the billboards owned by CBS advertise Now, and the billboards owned by Clear Channel advertise Z100. I guess if they can't fill a billboard with an ad, they advertise their radio station on it.

Radio stations still have to pay their outdoor divisions for the space. When their rental is over, they stay up until they are re-sold.

Driving on I 95 thru New York to New the NJ Turnpike I saw a couple z100 billboards. Didn't see one for Now, or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough

Theres a 92.3 Now FM Billboard up on the Bloomingdale-West Milford border in New Jersey
and there's another billboard for CBS 101.1 in Sussex, NJ. I saw a Z100 billboard but only in NYC, not in NJ.

For a while now, Z100 has had a billboard by the Van Wyck Expressway, near Citi Field. They've changed the actual billboard two or three times now but it's always been one for Z100. The one that's up now advertises "all the hits," while a previous one advertised Elvis Duran in the morning.

I've seen ads for 92.3 NOW in train stations along the 7 line in Queens.

Where I saw one z100 billboard was near the Toys R Us on the NJ Turnpike heading south. Also saw one while stuck in traffic just getting off the George Washington Bridge on top of a NY Taxi.

Also I forgot to say in my other post but I saw a Q 104 billboard somewhere along 95 either NJ or NY.

Clear Channel stations usually have a ton of billboards along I380 through Newark and towards the Tunnels...
