92.3 Now bad soundquality in HD

nd2023

Banned
92.3 Now sounds like crap on an HD radio this morning.

The analog sounds fine, but the HD1 sounds like a 16k stream. I also noticed that there's a 92.3-HD4 that is playing dead air. The web stream sounds way better than the HD1.

Speaking of NOW, I understand they've really messed up the analog too since Dom Theodore left. I'm told the reverb is gone and the bass is terrible. Shame because when we set it up 3 years ago, it really sounded huge. In fact, when the other CHR changed to the a new processor last year, NOW still sounded better with their 15 year old box.

Omnia.11 already for Z? And Now?

I've also noticed they're not speeding up their music anymore, to me it made them sound better and more upbeat than Z. But now I have no desire to listen, rather listen to Z100's larger playlist if songs are going to be slowed down, or DX K104.7.

Now had the old Omnia.FM with the Hot plugin. Still the best Omnia box for bass and overall loudness and I've heard both the 9 and 11. The only problem with the .FM (other than the fact it had no HD path) was the hardware being unreliable, thus the 6, which was a reliable box but something got lost in translation between the .FM and 6.
