92.3's breaking...*yawn*...news policy

Cops move in on the fugitive at 8:30pm or 9pm and 92.3's on Ramsey Time - "we're debt free-!" It's really not the smartest programming decision for Bonneville to be milking every conceivable news story all day long, rah-rah-rah We're Live And Local All Day! rah-rah-rah! - only to sign off for the day at 7pm when there could be *real* breaking news at the time they've got Ramsey on repeat. I can think of exactly one "breaking news" story 92.3 recently 'broke' outside their standard broadcasting day, and that was Obama announcing bin Laden's death on a Sunday night during Jay's show. There's no way that news break-in would happen in 2013 now that Bonneville has made it crystal clear Ramsey owns the station after 7pm.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz same ol same ol

Yet you posted this before 6:00 PM.

So, was anyone listening to hear how KT'R actually covered it rather than our resident troll predicting what they'd do?

Had you been listening that night, you would have heard the State of the Union speech, followed by a post speech live talk show with all of the local hosts. Ramsey did not air that night.
