I am really amazed by this type of comment. In the 50's and 60's, there were maybe 6 truly viable AM signals in the area, and a couple of limited signals like the Class V on 1340. There were only a few format offernings.
Today, every FM is viable, and many AMs, like 570, have upgraded and are also more or less viable. New FMs have come on, several have moved in from rural areas, and new Ams like 760 and 820 have arrived.
There are enough signals to serve every taste and group. Hispanics number nearly 10% of the market, and are certainly deserving of some specific service.
If you don't like it, don't listen. That is what I do with rock stations of any ilk.
