92.5 Houston

It’s not misinformation that KFNC-HD2 doesn’t exist and therefore K223CW cannot air different games than KFNC.

And assuming KFNC-HD2 did exist, the only way this arrangement would work is if there were no financial relationship between Gow and the translator's owner, because it extends the primary contour of KFNC.

I suppose anything is possible, but if that is the case, what a strange hobby. It has to cost the owner of K223CW a small fortune just to rent the rooftop.

Not to mention the power bill.
The power bill for a translator? Next to nothing. My big screen TV uses more, I think.

As long as the translator uses what the license says they should, yes.

But, hypothetically, if they ran at 2kW, the power bill would only be $175/month at 15 cents/kWh. Again, this is solely based on hypotheticals, and I am not stating that any translator is running over power.

Ask Gow he can explain that he doesn't pay anything for the 92.5 signal but if he happens to let the people from power 105.3 use his office space and help them with sales .. well that would not count as a payment right? I mean that could explain why 105.3 has the same address as Gow media j/s

Your statement is inaccurate.

At 6161 Savoy, there are radio companies on the 10th, 11th, and 12th floors. Ours is Suite 1200. The others have different suite numbers, of course. None of us are connected. At 24 Greenway, Audacy and Urban One have studios. (It is my understanding that Urban One will move to the formerly Cox studios) This set-up is quite common. Clearly there are two different suite numbers at 5353 West Alabama.

I just can not believe that this needed to be explained. 🤦‍♂️

Very simple the lease of both suites is under gow media plus it’s all connected yes different doors but one big office care to proof me wrong ? I was just there maybe 3 weeks ago
The point of my response was that Chuck Tiller, who is an absolute legend in Houston radio, had to explain that multiple businesses operate from one office building's address. With the sheer number of years he has in the medium, THIS is what he's forced to offer to a radio broadcast
forum? Really? Have we honestly dumbed ourselves down to the point in which that really needed to be said?

I have no doubt you were there. Every day offers new beginnings.

🤫

The building at 5353 Alabama has contained radio operations for many years. It was home to the old KLEF/KJYY/KLDE 94.5 decades ago.
That's the property y'all are talking about? Unless something has drastically changed in recent times, it's not one, but two buildings. Matching 6 story "towers", with a ton of high end retail on the ground floor. Right?
