92.5 KQRS HISTORY (THE BEGINNING)

Hey guys and gals:
I see KQRS was a Progressive AOR in progress.
1. First in the Spring of 1967 George Donaldson Fisher started a Progressive Show called "Nightwatch" Mon-Sun from 12mid to 5am. (This is from his own words from an article I found.)

2. Then sometime in 1968 Alan Stone started his own Progressive Show from 6PM-12MID Mon-Sun Called "Nightwatch Trip One" Incidentally G.D.F's show was renamed "Nightwatch Trip Two" and moved to 12mid -6am. Would anybody know when this show debuted in 1968?

I also can't find this anywhere. When in 1968 did 92 KQRS KQ-92 become a full time Progressive AOR station?

Thanks Tommy C.

It was night time only until Spring of 1970 or so when they expanded it to 24 hours until Summer 1977 when they became a "tight" Abrams-consulted AOR. Here's a circa-1970/71 ad that was in the University of Minnesota's student newspaper explaining the format.

That was interesting. It sounded like an old-school MOR with some progressive album rock tracks thrown in. Apparently it was a slow transition from MOR to prog rock.
