92.5 Stunting?

I read on another board that La Nueva 92.5 woke up this morning stunting and the entire air staff was fired by George Mier. Any truth to that? (I am not in Tampa and their website is down).

Doesn't sound to me like they're stunting. Sounds like the format and and commercial breaks are running normally. I don't speak Spanish so I can't be sure if changes have been made.

After listening a bit longer, it sounds as if "La Nueva" has been dropped for "Rumba" or something like that.

I know some español! The teaser says "We are reconstructing the best Spanish radio station for Tampa bay. Stay tuned to 92.5 Fm" They are not using any names for the station. It only says 92.5 fm and in their website on top it says "Project M". Maybe La Mega 92.5 Fm?

For those of you who don't know Spanish, "La Nueva" means "The New".
The station has been on the air for a little bit over 3 years, so still calling it La Nueva is not politically correct.

You can only be "new" for a short period of time. Eventually, you'll need to drop from being "new".

So, it's just a teaser of the new name change.

Unless you are Cox radio. Then you can be new eternally. ;D

Or Univision; their stations in Phoenix, LA, and Vegas have called themselves "La Nueva" for more than 10 years!
