92.5 The Patriot to flip to comedy?

With such a rimshot signal, KRPT is better off simulcasting WOAI-AM. But then again with a live remote from the Rivercenter Comedy Club, it could just work out.

I'm a bit surprised CC would give up the rights to so many syndicated talk shows. It opens the door for the eventual KTSA buyer to grab them up and begin to seriously compete with The Blowtorch.

Typical short-sighted CC. How can we make three dollars a month more on one station? Do what it takes and damn the consequences.

It's about time they did something with 92.5. Although, curious to see if 105.7 will continue to carry WOAI.

Let's hope they don't stick The Patriot on 105.7!

My thoughts exactly. I really would like to hear a new format on that frequency.

It is nice to hear Coast to Coast on my HD radio which only has the FM band to work with. Or on a Walkman on the bus which doesn't take to kind to AM radio!

It's fascinating that the Comedy 24/7 network has worked so well in Austin. This format is essentially how Comedy Central started. Anyone remember Short Attention Span Theater? It was just short comedy bits strung together. Comedy Central finally succeeded with longer form and more expensive programs like the Daily Show.

I was a sceptic at first but now when in Austin I listen to 102.7 as long as I can and then I try and catch comedy on 93.3-Hd3 until that signal is gone. It would be nice to have this in SA, but Austin's 933 might even have have a better signal in parts of San Antonio than 92.5 ;)

KRPT is also rebroadcast on KZEP-HD3. No point listening there though, audio quality SUCKS!

Agreed. It sounds like 16-bit audio with all of the ringing it does. I'm sure it conserves bandwidth for them, but it's unlistenable!
