92.7 Que Buena Flips to Spanish A/C

The Regional Mexican format is apparently gone from WQBU. The station now promotes itself as playing Hispanic hits from the 80's, 90's and 2000's. What I have heard so far is rather soft music. They are still using the Que Buena moniker.
Perhaps Univision is trying to peel away some listeners from Amor 93.1, which has been rising in the ratings.

With an overall rating mired at .3, Univision apparently had to change the programming of WQBU 92.7.
The soft a/c music now being played probably broadens the station's appeal to many people that are from Hispanic countries other than Mexico. And many stations in Mexico play this sort of Latin pop.
Does anyone know whether 92.7 still has signal repeaters within New York?

WQBU has boosters in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

I wonder if Univision would be interesting in buying and simulcasting on WNBM to target the Hispanic-heavy Bronx and parts of New Jersey. I was suprised that they didn't bid for the NJ 97.5 translator originally (to be fed by WXNY HD) so they could have a better signal in Jersey and be better suited to competing with SBS's stations.

Univision has their For Sale sign up, so this won't happen.

Perhaps Univision is going back to where they started. Didn't they start out with Que Buena before??

How long ago did they put WQBU up for sale?? What's your input on this?? Any suitors??

WQBU is not separately for sale. The entire Univision enterprise is openly announced to be for sale. But the pieces can not be broken off, although a new owner might choose to do so.
