92.7 Rev-FM DJ's?

I do not live in the bay and don't listen to the station that often, but I was wondering, does Rev even have a DJ lineup or are they automated all day?

Last time I checked, there was a voicetracked gal in the evenings (the midday gal from KRCK in Palm Desert).

Pure jukebox the rest of the time.

They were canned about 4 months on. As a lot of people observed, he's a good sidekick but not a great MC. Also the murmurings I've heard are that he wouldn't take direction from the new PD. And was dissing everyone at the company.

There's the other issue of whether a Las-Vegas-centered show can/will work in SF...

and a mind-numbingly repetitive jukebox at that. I realize that doesn't make them unique in CHR circles, but seriously: who, over the age of 16, wants to hear songs played 2 or 3 times an hour all day long? And basically the same 10 or 12 songs for months at a time?

Slightly LESS repetitive than Now and Wild, actually. And those two are getting a 4%+ share each. Go figure. That's CHR for you, they shoot for a demo like 12-25. Mr. Gleason can tell us for sure.

Anyone can program this station with all their might and know how, but you're still confined to the reach of the listeners!!!

Indeed. One can do a high-budget live format, and 92.7 is still 4KW off Russian Hill, with a city-grade contour that just hits Alameda and Daly City and maybe just maybe Corte Madera. The hot zip-codes for CHR are not there.

There's a reason Now is doing the Triple-Ho shows in the South Bay.
