Last week I just heard non-stop dance/house mixes on the 92.9 pirate in Trenton. I listened for a while but heard no IDs at all. It sounded overmodulated and has a coverage area as large as the Newark pirate stations, but when there's tropo, Magic 93 and 92.9 WEHM kill its signal along the Turnpike so it's probably broadcasting from a tall building with a low power. I could hear it for miles on the Turnpike.
It's had a variety of formats (probably simulcasting different Internet stations), even had a Caribbean format for a while, and has been on for at least 2 or 3 years since I first heard it in 2008. Of course, the FCC could care less. It even bleeds on to WOBM and WPAT in Trenton, but both of those stations are weak and the pirate is overmodulated. It goes on and off the air (usually never on for more than a few days at a time), or I think it hops between all 3 of the frequencies since I've heard it on 94.9 and 95.3 before. Probably changes its frequency every day.
Don't get this confused with the "Party 93" pirate I used to run from 2005-2006 also on 92.9 in West Windsor that I made out of a Belkin tunecast FM transmitter, an amplified antenna, and a non-amplified rabbit ears antenna. It was about a watt and covered less than a mile.
