Are you sure they are foing to flip? Wow i didn't know they were currently running on automation, I just thought they were running jockless. Thanks for the update. I am also hearing a rumor that Clear Channel is going to flip 640 WGST to an affiliate of ESPN Deportes and Cumulus might end their Journey and throw the active Rock crowd a Bone. All speculation of course.

I nominate Louis_009 for the most out of touch poster of the year.

I heard 94Q will flip to Star 94...what happens to "Jazz Flavours"?

I heard that by the end of the decade, ALL THREE of HotLanta's Beautiful Music stations--Peach FM 95, WSB-FM Great 98, and WLTA FM 100--will be OUT of the format. I can see one or two of them flipping...but all three? No way!

How will this affect WLTA FM 100?

Hang on...I have a call coming in from caller10...

Why is there still no sportstalk on 92.9? I would have thought that they would have it going by now ::)

You have the Falcolns undefeated and probably the 2nd best team in the NFL, the Braves are playing the Cardinals for a playoff slot and Georgia is undefeated in the SEC.

Why didn't 92.5 flip to sports yesterday. Even the national shows are talking a lot about Atlanta sports teams.

This looks like one big clusterf*ck!

As great a sports town Atlanta is, (we need a hockey team..bring it back), I doubt 3 sports station will survive..no major city has more than 2, Dallas has 3, but all are dying due to overkill.

I predict within a year, one of the three will drop out. My bet is the Zone. ::)

It depends on ratings. CBS has chosen the best time to take on the existing sports talkers because both 680 and 790 lose coverage in the AM an PM drive shifts due to going directional at night. ESPN has proved in NYC, just going FM is not a guarantee success. ESPN's LMA of WEPN is falling while WFAN is holding it's own:

CBS has a national commitment to sports that will mostly likely will give 92.9 some extra time to start producing serious revenue. Sports and or sports / talk generates tremendous revenue verses 6+ ratings. There might be enough revenue for all three.
