But do we need another AC type station in Hampton Roads

937 Bob FM (adult Hits)
1013 2WD (AC)
949 the Point (modern AC)
Lite 921/1077 (soft AC)
Beach 1041 (Hot AC) - if u r on southide
Mix 967 (AC) - if u r on southside
Xtra 99.1 (AC) - if u r on pensiula
Lite 98 (soft AC) - yes from Richmond, but listenable in Newport News/Wburg

Is there room for another AC station ????

If so poor Lite 921/1077 is already low, but I see even lower #'s coming !!!

Lite FM in Hampton Roads goes, In Richmond it is # 1, but has no competion either (which could change if WCUL 98.9 goes AC, Hot AC, or Adult Hits, and Mix 1037 is a joke, they just repeat the same crap and the DJ's on Mix is SO FAKE, and read liner cards all day, it is HORRIBLE)

Ya Hit It Right On The Head About Discribing How God-AWFULL Mix 103, About Them By The Way Aren't They Mix 103 i mean all Automated, I'd Kinda Hoped That 98.9 Would Go To A Jack Bob Dave Format, But With Mainquad selling All Of Their Richmond Holdings Could This Be Another Benchmark Or Capone I Think I've Got That Name Right So Don't Flame Me Because I've Got The Name Wrong,And Just One Question Real Quick Please Tell Me There Is Not A Bubba Contry Format Because That Would SUCK

I stayed in Williamsburg this past week and I listened to Mix 1037. They were horrible. First time I heard them. Over the week I heard the same songs. How many times can you hear the Dave Matthews Band or No Doubt? It was obvious the DJs had liner cards. No personality. How many times can they talk about being number one at work and the 2 hour work day kick off? I hated Mix 1037. Lite 98 and the other AC's were much better. Mix sucks. Although they have an interesting slogan "Soft and Contemporary".

On the subject of Hampton Roads radio, I just wanted to point out that 106.9 The Fox was a great classic rock station. I liked the midday guy too. Great station!

I went on a business trip to Virginia Beach and Richmond last year. I heard Mix 1037 and it was very boring. All the things you say are true.

Dick Lamb is coming (just a theory) when the station finishes it's countdown to 1985. Their legal ID says WFOG "A Thing of the Past"......interesting!
