92.9

Anyone like the new name change? 92.9 WLXX.

I am glad the "bear" name is gone. Too many animal names around the Lexington market.

I was just getting used to "The Bear" and "The Bull."

Anyone remember K93?

Now when you say "The Bear and The Bull" it now just means a bar in Richmond (is that still open?).

haha! I have no clue! I think of Richmond and I think of the Coyote and the Fox, errrr, The Dog.

Oh yeah... I remember those days. If you want to hear K93 just drive south a little and hear it on 93.9 WSEK

I've heard that before! I live in the Paintsville area...I've actually picked up WSEK from here before, but I've heard it more on trips to South-Central KY.

Not surprised... heard it in Louisville when WLCL went in the dark.

WLCL was on 93.9 not 92.9 ::)

But today's K93 in Southern Kentucky is on 93.9, and that's what was being referred to...the thread strayed off topic...my fault, though.

So I've noticed something else though (back on topic). So, 92.9 The Bear has always mirrored Nashville's 95.5 The Wolf...another Cumulus country station. I've noticed that the Nashville station also flipped -- it's now just "95.5FM WSM." Perhaps Cumulus is dropping pet names all over...

My point...I'm not sure this decision was made in Lexington.
