Well I heard earlier on the station what COULD be a glimpse of future better things to come out of this station musically... they actually decided to throw in David Guetta's The World Is Mine into the mix. Whew finally something else than the same 20 songs all the time!! Time will tell...

Lol, after how many requests were made to play some dance tracks. About time David Guetta gets a play, let's hope Love Is Gone and Bob Sinclair's World Hold On is added pretty soon.

You sure you weren't listening to 87.7? On my portable radio near the ESB, 92.3 and 97.1 intermodulate onto 87.7.

I played The World Is Mine on my college station in March 2007, so that's hardly new music. It's new to commercial radio though, and it would certainly fit with Now's image as "newer than Z100"

It seems like they're not leaning rhythmic right now... SoBer by Pink is no3 on their playlist and Gives you Hell no1.

seems like they're leaning less rhythmic to me too but it is hard to tell since they only have about 15 songs in rotation. ::)

Not 87.7 Its true, they played in at 11:57 am. on March 25th, shows it on yes .com. But have they played it or any other dance songs since?

I think you named the only 2 non-rhythmic songs playing on the station (and even Sober has rhythmic elements).

you've got a point. Time will tell I suppose how rhythmic they are. Honestly while the brunt of their songs are rhythmic it is difficult to tell with such tight rotation.

I don't know about you, but I enjoy hearing the same 10 songs repeated over and over 10,000 times. Who needs those boring rock songs K-Rock used to play? I even set all my presets to 92.3 and I hope I get pulled over soon!

I hope your joking. And they do play more then 10 songs. Its just that some songs Amp plays Now leaves out. Such as that new song "I Love College" and I also heard a old Jay-Z song on Amp "Big Pimpin" when I had Amp stream on and that came on I was like I haven't heard that in awhile. Now should add some more old hip hop and rap songs to their playlist mixed in with current pop songs.

Now 92.3 actually played "Big Pimpin" last night in the 11 PM hour (according to yes.com).
I agree, though, that the music sounds better on Amp Radio. There’s more more variety for one as Now 92.3 barely has a total of 70 songs in its library right now, while Amp has well over 100., The repetition also isn’t as nauseating on Amp Radio.
Records played on Amp that Now hasnt added yet:
Kanye West "Paranoid"

Madcon "Beggin"
The Dream "My Love"

I tired of it already, haven't listened in two days... snore, too tight, even for CHR!

It's way too tight. Unlistenable in my opinion. Listen for more than 3 hours and you want to throw the radio out the window.
I know they're a work in progress but how long before they add to the playlist?

Are they sure they are going after Z while seeing what they have played? Seems to me that they are taking a punch to Hot and Power

Right now they are just a 10,000 play stunt with overly high spin numbers; trying to steal a young demo and hope they are fickle enough to give 'em sampling cume and keep some of 'em from everyone, but particularly Z100 who has the most to give!
